2008
  • Officially registered with ROS -The Registry of Societies Malaysia on July 25th.
2009
  • Presentation by MATRADE – Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation on services offered to SME in terms of grant assistance and market exposure.
  • Proposal by MiGHT – Malaysia Industry-Government Group for High Technology on structure of consortium to operate the Centre of Excellence on IC Design.
  • Introduction of Electrical and Electronics (E&E) related initiatives in NCER –Northern Corridor Economic Region
  • Organized ASDEQ 2009 (Asia Symposium on Quality Electronic Design) at Kuala Lumpur.
2010
  • Presentation by SHRDC – Selangor Human Resource Center on facilities and services available.
  • Presentation by CEDEC – Collaborative Microelectronic Design Excellence Center on facilities and services available.
  • Presentation by MDeC – Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation on initiatives to enhance the E&E value chain
  • Presentation by USAINS Infotech Sdn. Bhd. on the E&E COE (Center of Excellence) recently launched.
  • Organized ASDEQ 2010 (Asia Symposium on Quality Electronic Design) at Penang.
2011
  • MICDA chairman brief the industries needs on the IC design during meeting between MIDA – Malaysian Investment Development Authority and universities representatives.
  • Organized ASDEQ 2011 (Asia Symposium on Quality Electronic Design) at Kuala Lumpur.
2012
  • Proposal to support IC design development in Malaysia by MICDA to ETP– Economic Transformation Programme  in E&E EPP3 (Electrical & Electronics Entry Point Project3).
  • Organized ASDEQ 2012 (Asia Symposium on Quality Electronic Design) at Penang.
2013
2014
  • Provide IC Design Electronic Design Automation to IC Design SMEs in Malaysia funded by NKEA-National Key Economic Areas
  • IC Design Awareness Program by MIMOS Berhad.
2015
  • MICDA has been invited by government to join National Export Council to provide input on how to spear the E&E industries export. Among the suggestion was to focus on IC design to spear back the E&E industries.
  • MICDA also has been invited into MIDA Electronic Strategic Council. This council is to advise government on E&E industries strategies.
  • MICDA was requested to look after the development of business of local SME IC design. One of the suggestion is to increase the use of local IC design houses for local consumption such as national projects, health care etc. which use electronics system.
  • MIDA E&E division has called MICDA for a meeting to share about the government 2nd wave Korean Look East Policy.
  • MICDA will support NICDA – National IC Design Academy plan for upskilling talent in IC Design industries.
